Band Distraction Guidelines for Hip Impingement: (THE DO'S and DON'TS)
Here Are The 10 Commandments:
- Thou shalt experiment...a ton
- Thou shalt distract posteriorly
- Thou shalt mobilize your posterior hip capsule
- Thou shalt mobilize in both hip internal and external rotation
- Thou shalt not impinge thyself while distracting posteriorly
- Thou shalt not distract anteriorly (if you get any sharp, painful or pinchy sensations.)
- Thou shalt do band distracted hamstring stretches
- Thou shalt do band distracted adductor stretches
- Thou shalt do band distracted glute stretches
- Thou shalt not think that the band will fix all of your hip impingement issues
