NEW Psoas Release (less effort, better results)
NEW Psoas Release (psoas self massage / trigger point work with the body back buddy tool)
The psoas plays a major role in chronic low back pain (LBP) as well as hip pain / dysfunction (such as in FAI hip impingement cases.)
Gently releasing it with consistent work (over time) can feel miraculously freeing for some people.
Check out this video for the technique and also watch all the way to the end for a few words of warning.
ATTENTION:
before beginning any direct psoas massage heed these guidelines:
- The pain should be tolerable, like a 3-4/10 and ZERO “weird / sketchy / dangerous” sensations or feedback from your body (I cover this in the video.)
- Proceed with caution. Don’t just let anyone stick their fingers or foot or implement into your guts unless they are a trained professional AND they listen to YOUR feedback and discomfort tolerances.
In the extremely rare scenario that you feel sick, throw up or have diarrhea after treatment, get to the hospital ASAP!
The therapist who works on me has never had this happen in 30 years and I have never had it happen, but the key is to LISTEN TO YOUR BODY AND NEVER PUSH IT WHEN YOU’RE BODY GIVES YOU WARNING SIGNALS.
OK, now that you may be sufficiently scared…lets get into what can be one of the most effective means for relaxing your low back and restoring hip function / range of motion! Psoas trigger point massage!
Try out this new tool in addition to the previous methods I’ve shown and find which one works best for you!
Enjoy!
