PUSHUP WRIST PAIN (1 Quick Fix for Pinchy Wrists)

Wrist Pain During Pushups  (Causes and Exercise to Work Around It!)

Have you ever seen people do a set of pushups and then immediately get up and shake their wrists out?

What about doing pushups with their fingers NOT pointing straight forward (compensating.)

It’s such a common situation that many yoga and Pilates teachers now regularly say “shake out the wrists” after push ups, chatturanga, or handstands, as though pain in the wrist joint was a perfectly normal part of these exercises!

Huh?!

Furthermore, athletes in the gym are doing pushups where they rotate their hands out to the side not realizing that they are just compensating and avoiding the real issue (not to mention compromising their shoulder stability and even core control.)

If this is you then what can you do about it in the short term and the long term?

This video is about the SHORT TERM solution but you should also check out my “Handstand Wrist Pinch” video for the LONG TERM solution.

Keep doing those pushups / handstands / chatturangas!
