Why Crossfit Injures People

 

Yup, I said it. Crossfit does injure some people.

But why does this happen? Is Crossfit itself? Is it a failed methodology? Or is it something else?

We all know someone who LOVES Crossfit. We also probably know people who HATE it. Everyone seems to have an opinion but few actually know enough to hold an informed one.

So what qualifies me?

I worked for several years in a Crossfit gym as a:

  • Olympic Lifting Coach
  • Mobility Teacher
  • Massage Therapist

This means I saw all the broken people as well as the healthy people.

I got to work on high level Crossfit athletes as well as 45 year old desk workers looking to get in shape. In those years, I worked with thousands of Crossfitters in total.

I also got to discuss the pro's and con's of Crossfit with some of the best coaches in the business.

I hope this qualifies me to weigh in on the heated debate.
